MORE ASSYRIANS ON THE WAY?
According to an article in the Turlock Journal the local Assyrian community is getting ready to receive a new wave of family and friends emigrating from Iran. The political climate in Iran is worsening for the minority community.

In the US significant groups of Assyrians have settled in Chicago, the SF Bay Area, and the Modesto-Turlock area. The first Assyrians arrived in our area in about 1910 and with each new wave of instability in Iraq, Iran, and the surrounding areas more and more come to make their home here with us.
