WHY ARE BOYS UNDERACHIEVING?
In a nutshell, according to comments in a Washington Times article today, boys are not achieving because of inadequate attention to the neurobiological differences between boys and girls. That is, current classroom approaches are more in tune with the needs of females than males.
Dr Leonard Sax, a research psychologist and author of Why Gender Matters: What Parents and Teachers Need to Know About the Emerging Science of Sex Differences, suggests separate classrooms for boys and girls would go a long way in remedying the problem.
