I'm not sure where we are but we've definitely arrived....New York State is proposing a tax on private for-profit colleges to help pay for the policing of fraud in the private sector schools. Since they're only taxing the private for-profits you can't help but conclude that they are trying to protect the public-institution turf by making it harder for the for-profits to do business.
