The cargo bike vision

I love my Sun Atlas Cargo Bike, which because of the color I've nicknamed "Root Beer." But apparently I'm an odd-man out. I noticed this evening that Sun Bicycles is no longer manufacturing my longtail bike. That makes me even odder than before.

The Sun cargo bike is was an affordable knock-off of the Xtracycle -- and an extension of the subversive utility bike vision. It is super fun to ride and I load it down as I run my daily errands around town.

This is a great little documentary on the history and vision of Xtracycle and longtail bikes in the US.
