Ukulele players around the world detest this song. But hearing Luna Lee do it on the gayageum breathes new life into it and almost erases those awkward images of Tiny Tim from our minds. Tiptoe Through the Tulips was a major hit song in 1929 but Tiny Tim, playing left-handed uke and singing in a shrill falsetto, crashed it in 1968. Perhaps Luna and her gayageum have just rescued it.
