Building with hemp

After stumbling across an article on using hemp-concrete in construction I've become quite intrigued with the option.

In the US it is still widely illegal to grow hemp because it is a form of Cannabis containing THC. The trajectory in the US is toward full scale legalization of marijuana. Could it be that this will also lead to the full scale development of the hemp sector? We can hope so.
