A MIDDLE WAY
Last week when I was at the Mormon/Evangelical Dialogue I was having a conversation with my old friend and CT editor David Neff (actually I was just introducing myself for the first time) when we were joined by Mark Harlan (whom I had never met before either). It didn't take me but a minute to figure out that Mark is the author of an article that I had just read in CT about finding a middle way through the Israeli-Palestinian thicket. I hope I didn't come off as overly excited but when I had read the article a couple of nights before I had decided it was the most balanced Christian perspective I had heard. Mark is a PhD student in the Fuller School of World Mission and we ended up having lunch together. Really nice guy. This morning Christianity Today put his article up on their website. I commend it to you. It was actually a very shortened version of what he had originally submitted (as is the case in most writing). Hopefully we'll eventually see the rest of his material. Link
