LET'S BOOST ST JAMES
(Saturday) My friend Fr Thomas Zell is the pastor of St James Orthodox Church in Modesto. It's a small mission. As a matter of fact if you type "orthodox" and "Modesto" into google their current domain never shows up (They have an old domain name that shows up sometimes and does a re-direct. There is also a denominational website which shows up for them -- but it currently has no links to the Modesto site). That's how small it is. So I thought it would be kind of fun to play the Google game and attempt to improve their ratings by mentioning and linking to them. (Fr Thomas knows absolutely nothing of this scheme. And it's not necessary to tell him.) So, what do you think? Can we move St James Orthodox Church in Modesto from nowhere on the list to the top by simply mentioning them a few hundred times? Do you think it will work? Some of you high volume blogs could probably do it alone within a day or two. The url is www.saintjamesmodesto.org.
