OFF TO IRVINE
After worship tomorrow we take our number two son, Kent, down to UC Irvine to begin his college career. I think he's ready to get out of here -- if for no other reason than to turn off the unending inquiries about why he's still here. Since the University of California system is on the quarter system (all schools except Berkeley) they begin later than the California State University and community college systems, which tend to do semesters. Many have been in class for nearly a month already. Actual instruction at Irvine doesn't begin until Friday.
