SUNSHINE
The fog lifted and the skies were clear. It's amazing how much perkier people are when that happens. And it was a beautiful day for a wedding.
This evening we went to the Sandy Jacobs/George Bakus wedding at St George Assyrian Church of the East in Ceres -- our first Assyrian wedding experience. It was an interesting combination of English, Assyrian, and Arabic. Lots of symbolism -- including the crowning that is familiar to you Eastern Orthodox readers.
We'll go to the reception in a couple of hours -- although I don't think we'll stay until 2 a.m. -- which is how late these things traditionally go. I'm up at 5 tomorrow to get ready for worship at Cornerstone.
