TIME, MONEY, & SANITY SAVER
Almost every time I use a charge card at a store the customer copy of the receipt prints before the vendor's copy -- which has to be signed by me. Wouldn't it make more sense to program the system so that the copy that the customer signs is printed first. Then while the customer is signing the receipt the customers' copy would be printed. I bet that those extra 15-20 seconds saved could become quite significant when multiplied out by millions and millions of transactions. The lines would move faster, and would thus be shorter, and so the store would need fewer cashiers and less equipment.

Perhaps I should write to Andy Rooney to see if he can do something about this.
