Two Las Vegas girls have been incarcerated by the Homeland Security people and are in the process of being deported to Armenia. Their crime? Their father divorced his American wife. His legal status was unaffected but somehow the two girl's (really women -- 17 and 18 years old) legal status was mysteriously revoked as a result. Somewhere in the system there has got to be someone with common sense and power to right this injustice. This is not really an isolated incident, though. And that may be why help is slow in coming.
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
