PHOENIX CHURCH PLANTING
Lots of unusual church planting activity in the greater Phoenix area: LifeChurch of Oklahoma City is opening up two campuses in the Mesa and Gilbert areas in the fall. This is a megachurch which broadcasts the pastor's message via satellite to all of their congregations.

I mentioned a few weeks ago the Living Faith Anglican Church, which came out of a large Episcopal Church split. David Virtue is reporting that another yet unnamed AMiA church is forming in the Phoenix area.

Then there is St John the Evangelist, an Orthodox mission forming in Tempe. One of the movers behind it is Steven Robinson, who I knew from my days at ASU. He was a church of Christ leader back then.
