+ It turns out that cows don't really cause all that much smog. The air quality people are now saying that cows are no longer considered the #1 source of "reactive organic gases". They've been bumped to #6 on the list.

+ Bob Koehler is featured in today's Modesto Bee. (UPDATE: Looking more closely at the article, it was perhaps in the paper a year ago and for whatever odd reason it just appeared on their list of stories today.)

+ Japanese young people have become increasingly rude -- an epidemic!
