This has not been a good month for my favorite 1960's television personalities. First Gilligan dies and now Maxwell Smart from Get Smart is gone. Don Adams was a comic genius with great timing.

This morning Clara and I were almost flattened by a tractor-trailer whose driver apparently saw the stop sign too late,coming to a screeching stop in the middle of the intersection right in front of us. Thankfully I had seen him coming so didn't pull out into the intersection, even though I had the right-of-way.
