I like the "Through the Bible in a Year" setup in the back of my TNIV. You can pace it according to how fast you want to go.

If you read a section or "day" (they're numbered from 1-365, no leap year day, so I guess you can take a day off every four years) both morning and evening then you're on pace to get through the Bible twice in a year. I guess my point is invalid for getting through the Bible once in two years since you'd have to divide a reading.
