We Care Homeless Shelter
The We Care homeless shelter opens for the season this evening in Turlock. It is very much a broadly based community effort to get people out of the cold and damp at night. The churches were instrumental in getting things moving a few years ago and have pledged through TEAM (Turlock Evangelical Association of Ministers) to support it to the tune of $20,000 this year. So far $5,631 has come in -- $3,131 of which came from the offering at the Thanksgiving service.
