Light changer busted

A Colorado man received a $50 ticket for interferring with a traffic signal. Traffic engineers for the city of Longmont noticed repeated traffic-light disruptions on certain intersections and figured out that a white Ford pickup passed by whenever the light patterns were disrupted. Police cited the the driver of the truck after they spotted him using a strobe-like device, similar to what emergency vehicles use, to change traffic signals.

Obviously, this guy figured that he was more important than everyone else and shouldn't have to wait like normal people. I bet he took cuts in line when he was in elementary school, too.

Crossroads Church? Seems there might be another church or two out there with that name. As tired as I become of all the attempts to make catchy names that fit in with the prevailing mores of the day (fit in most emergent churches here), I also wonder at these wonderfully overused generic names that spread across the land of older, more established churches. In our Quest for originality we simply do what everybody else is doing.

Somehow the comments got turned off for the "Random" post (above) to which Dan is responding.
