PIBC board action
On Saturday the Pacific Islands Bible College board approved my appointment to teach at the school. As best I can tell, this was the last of the organizational approvals needed to start at PIBC next fall.

We sent out a batch of support appeal letters about two weeks ago and the response has been encouraging. We have commitments equal to about 10% (in just two weeks!) of what we need to have before we are permitted to make the move to Guam.

We know that we are really stretching things by trying to raise our support in such a short period. A friend who has raised his own mission support in the past says that it typically takes 12-18 months to get it all done.

Unfortunately, our situation is such that 12-18 months isn't very workable. It wouldn't be fair to the church to protract our departure -- leaving them in leadership limbo. They need to be free to start planning the next phase of ministry at Cornerstone. That will best happen once I'm out of the picture.

And the school, which is small but growing, has immediate staffing needs. So we're sensing that God is calling us to step out in faith -- and to move forward -- even if the time frame seems a bit compacted.

It's all a little nerve wracking but God is good. Please keep us in your prayers.

If you would like more information or to become a financial participant in this mission project, there is support information and a downloadable form at Guam.Boydston.us (top left column). I really do appreciate your partnership at whatever level -- as God leads.
