Windows Live Mail
My hotmail account finally got converted over to the Windows Live Mail system (they've been asking for months if I wanted to do it but every time I signed up they kept saying they'd get back to me).

So far it looks like the beta offers more layout options -- and annoying flashing ads -- but not much else -- even fewer features than hotmail.

When I queried help for info on doing something as basic as setting up the signature I learned:
Windows Live Mail beta does not currently support the following features
  • Photo Upload Tool.
  • Signatures.
  • Retrieving mail from other mail accounts.
  • Tabbing through folders and Windows Live Mail Beta tabs.
  • Some languages (to see the list of supported languages, on the Options page, click Your Account, and then click Languages).
  • Windows Live Mail beta is not yet fully compatible with the Firefox browser.
Yes, it is beta but there isn't really anything new to try out. What am I missing (other than some of the already Spartan features of the old hotmail)?
