One of my best friends works in the real estate world out there (commercial, not a real estate agent) and has said that it is SCARY how quickly the real estate boom is ending, though. Virtually everyone lives in a new home, and no one can sell a lived-in home. Subdivisions were literally put to a halt in mid-project. I'm anxious to see how it all ends up playing out; I've gone out there every year for the last 9, and it's quite remarkable to see how much the Phoenix area has expanded.
