...I wouldn't mind having my own personal airship -- flying around just above the trees (I don't really need to fly very high) -- lots of potential -- especially for people who live on islands. I could take a Sunday afternoon drive to Rota, Tinian, or Saipan. (via)
...Boomers are starting to downsize and are going for the "lock and leave" approach to housing. Speaking of which, our new (actually, the first pre-owned home we've owned) "lock and leave" condo is coming along. Painting in the bathroom is done, hallway is done (except for touch-up or if we add color), kitchen may require another hour or two, living room is perhaps needing 4 or 5 more hours. Then there are three bedrooms and the master bath to tackle. Perhaps we can move in by the end of the month. That's the goal.

...The Evangelical Covenant Church (the extended church family of which I am a part) has roots in Swedish Lutheran Pietism. While the denomination is hardly Swedish these days they are still keen on maintaining connections with their history. The July 2006 edition of Evangelical Times (an English newspaper of Calvinistic convictions) has a few articles that might be of interest to Covenant people -- e.g. "Bringing Christ to the Land of Christmas" and "Rosenius -- Sweden's Elijah."
