I've been having trouble with my Amazon.com orders. Up until recently, they came fast and while we don't get free shipping out here, they were reasonable -- via USPS. But for some reason they've recently been trying to ship to us via UPS -- which doesn't work since we use a PO Box. And so the orders get returned to Amazon as undeliverable.
(Street names aren't marked very well on Guam -- street numbers are almost non-existent. So it's a crap shoot when it comes to street delivery of anything. This is one reason USPS delivery to a PO Box is the most efficient way, relatively speaking, of getting deliveries.)
I let Amazon know what's going on and they gave me a free $5 gift certificate, which was supposed to show up automatically on my next order. It didn't.
Is Amazon finally imploding -- unable to maintain the customer service they were built on? I hope not.
I looked into ordering from a new company called Abunga. They seem like they're hot to serve -- but they're more expensive than Amazon.com and not very responsive so far. I sent a request to have PIBC included in their FAN Network but never heard back from them. Zip. Nada. Sounds like they may be good intentioned but unable to provide the service. (Update: I've now heard from them.)
We have ordered some from Christian Book Distributors (ChristianBook.com -- can't get their website to come up, though) but they use the slow boat to China to route things to Guam. So it often takes more than a month to get anything from those guys. When it arrives it's obvious why it took so long to get here. Somebody has been using the boxes as kick balls for a few weeks. So they're probably not a really good option for Guam.
I'm not sure what to do. Suggestions?

My name is Gavin and I am part of the Abunga.com Team. I'm sorry to hear we've let you down and it's take a blog post for us to take action.
We've dropped that ball with you and I apologize. I'd love to hear more from you though, so if you get a moment please send me some of your thoughts.
Have a great day.

The ladies use books a million (I don't know the website) to get their study materials. They came remarkably fast. I will try to get the site for you.
