~ A few photos from our condo patio garden -- I've been collecting bougainvilleas of various colors and hanging them on the railing. The seedling below is a Key (Mexican) Lime tree that I'm growing from the seeds that Katy Dockter sent me last fall. It's progressing well, but it will be sometime before we get any pie from it or its sibling in the next pot. (Click on the photos for a closer look.)
~ We did have Key Lime pie, though. Cheryl found a frozen Marie Callender's Key Lime pie in the PayLess grocery store. So we took one to the BBQ that was held this evening in honor of May Vigil, the PIBC librarian, who graduated with a PIBC BA last month. The pie was very good -- but not in the same league as what Cheryl makes.
~ The LA Times has an article about how Guam was so desperate to get into the movie business that GovGuam co-signed a third-party $800,000 loan for the production of "Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon," putting taxpayers' money on the line if the producer defaulted. And, of course, he did.
~ Floridians are in denial over their water problem.
