~ R. G Lewis on celebrating nationalism -- from somewhere in Asia. He waves the flag a little bit more than I would but he grapples well with the issues of being an American missionary abroad. Good discussion starter for a missions committee or class.

~ How we spent the 4th.

~ The Orthodox Study Bible is now scheduled for release in February 2008. I've found the NT version of the OSB to be helpful in bringing the broader perspective of our Eastern brothers and sisters to the task of Bible study. One of the "bonuses" of the complete OSB will be a completely new English translation of the Septuagint (LXX), the Greek version of the Old Testament from which the New Testament writers seemed to be quoting so often.

~ Happiness Lodge, our PIBC student on assignment on the US mainland this summer, is being stretched.
