~ 07-08-07 -- BOEING UNVEILS NEW 787. Unfortunately, they are already sold out through 2015. On the assumption that this new plane has more leg room than the previous Boeing cattle cars I'd been planning to pick up a few -- just in case I feel the need to get off the island sometime. But I guess I'll just have to wait.

~ SHORTAGES ARE COMMON ON GUAM -- and in particular there has been an issue with CEMENT off and on over the past six months. They've had to halt construction of the HOME DEPOT building four times in the last seven weeks because of cement shortages. It will be interesting to see what will happen with supplies once the construction projects in preparation for the landing of the Marines start.

~ CBS is planning to film another SURVIVOR series on PALAU.

~ "55 essential articles that every SERIOUS BLOGGER should read" or how to really make money doing this. I guess I'm not very serious. Oh well... my technorati authority level is only 24.

~ It appears that nothing in the US made it onto the NEW 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD list. Anti-Americanism. ;-)

~ "TROPICAL STORM 04W" doesn't have a name, yet. But it has nudged about 200 miles closer to us. Unless it makes some drastic move the brunt will completely miss us. However, we've gotten some needed rain off and on today.
