~ Alpine Camp and Conference Center has been evacuated. The out of control fire is burning its direction. The Covenant website has additional detail.
~ Cheryl talked with our son Kent this morning. He says the University of California Irvine campus isn't currently in danger. However, the air is really bad. The UCI website says that all outdoor classes and activities have been canceled.

~ The latest info on the fires can be found here. They're saying that this wave of fire will probably eclipse the 2003 Cedar Fire, which was the worst recorded wildfire in California history. So far they know of 600+ homes that have been destroyed. Over 250,000 people have been evacuated.
