These are people exploring "how the emergent experiment might take hold in the Petri dish of their own traditions/denominations." ~ Link

None of this is really new information -- but interesting and telling. I'll say it again, the denomination as an institution is not dying out. It's just being reformatted.

Karen Neiswender was one of the children in the Selah Covenant Church, where I was pastor for five years right after seminary. Now an RN, Karen has been a community health specialist with Food for the Hungry in Latin America. She returned to the States to earn a masters degree and is now raising support to return. The Institute of Lutheran Theology, an unaccredited web-based Lutheran theological educational organization with a respected faculty, is developing MA and MSM programs. They currently offer classes in partnership with other accredited schools. ~ Link
