As far as we know Dave Owen has just made the first blog post ever from the remote Tol island in the State of Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. Internet was installed there last week. ~ Link

I am experimenting with a gadget in draft.blogger.com (beta version of the blogger update) to keep a more comprehensive blogroll. Because it is more comprehensive I will have to move it off the frontpage -- so I created a seperate blog just for the blogroll -- "regular reads". I haven't got everyone on there yet -- but take a look anyway. The nice thing about this particular gadget is that it brings up a few lines of the most recent post from the sites on the list.

It's once again cool to be a philosophy major -- which makes sense when you think about how fast the world is changing. Within an hour of leaving university with your new business degree all the theories about management you studied so hard to master are out of vogue and the degree is "out-dated." But if you're a philosophy major you will have at least learned how to think through the business problems you face. ~ Link
