• Greetings from Mesa, Arizona -- where we're spending the week with my parents -- where my father is 75-years-old today -- where it is 110 degrees (It doesn't feel a degree over 105 to me) -- where I don't really have a consistent Internet connection.

• The trip from Oakland to Phoenix last night was incredible -- 32 passengers total on our Southwest flight. I watched other flights deplane with only 40 passengers. We arrived 30 minutes early. Our luggage was on the carousel before we could get there. Remind me that the day after the 4th is a great time to travel.
