Someone, somewhere decided that Pacific Islanders would never fully appreciate Christmas unless they had a snow experience. Both malls on Guam have snow generating machines -- although it's really synthetic snow made of a soapy liquid (hey, it is the tropics!).
Tonight we went to the GPO mall to see the snow show. In addition this year they have an "ice skating rink" that utilizes synthetic ice (hey, it is the tropics!). You can skate for $5 for 20 minutes with the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. Cool deal.
