As I was watering this morning and observing the mess that came from yesterday's sprinkler episode where I released too much water in a short period of time, it came to my mind that
developing people and churches is a lot like watering the garden. Most of what comes out of a high pressure, intense, fire hose will be wasted -- never getting to the roots -- probably even damaging the plants. But an intentional, directed, slow, steady drip goes deep.
