RIP Pete Seeger

I spent some time this morning with my ukuleles playing and singing If I Had a Hammer, Where Have All the Flowers Gone, and We Shall Overcome.

For me personally, folk music did more to mold my psyche than rock 'n roll. In American folk music you can toggle between silly fun and serious message -- even in the same song. You can enjoy life AND express your social conscience. And no one exemplified it all better than Pete Seeger.
