More on leadership

My thinking about leadership continues to morph. I used to think that leadership is about setting the direction and getting others to follow. Now I understand leadership as being primarily about setting the tone which helps others work together to create the direction. Practically speaking, leadership is 90% modeling what you want people to become, 5% explaining how and why, 4% holding their hands so they can, and 1% filling out any required paperwork.
