We enjoyed the six years that we lived in Texas. And yes, we'd go back to live there if the opportunity came up (even though we'd have to get used to the new "pledge") -- especially if that opportunity were to be in Austin or San Antonio or thereabouts. We've always found living in a cross-cultural context to be a richly rewarding experience.
Yeah, I know that Texans are all a little bit crazy, but the longer we live on Guam the more sane the Texans appear to be. It's all relative.
