UNIVERSITIES IN ARIZONA
(Sunday) There is serious discussion on the table about creating two new public universities and reconfiguring the existing three -- AND probably making my Arizona State degree appear even more prestigious than it already is (not that having a degree from an EXCLUSIVELY research-oriented university would actually do anything for my wallet or ego). In spite of the fact that the new plan would probably raise the status of the University of Arizona, as well, I think it's probably a pretty good idea. Link
