IF THERE WAS ANY QUESTION...
With all of the events in the news this past year it is easy to understand why the minority of orthodox Anglicans are going ballistic about the activities in the Episcopal Church USA. (Actually they are only the minority in the US and Canada. In most of the world Anglicanism is very evangelical and true to the scriptures). Now their Office of Women's Ministries is promoting a liturgy ("A Women's Eucharist: A Celebration of the Divine Feminine") which "is taken almost completely (without attribution) from a rite from Tuatha de Brighid, 'a Clan of modern Druids... who believe in the interconnectedness of all faiths.'"

This is pure pagan worship -- the kind that was condemned in the Old Testament and the kind which the martyrs died opposing. It is also the very thing which Christians have historically been called upon to renounce in their baptismal vows:

*Question* Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God?

*Answer* I renounce them.

*Question* Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?

*Answer* I renounce them.

*Question* Do you renounce all sinful desires that draw you from the love of God?

*Answer* I renounce them.
*Question* Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Savior?

*Answer* I do.
(1979 Book of Common Prayer, Episcopal Church USA)

It is time for all Christians to express their concern to the hierarchy of this historically Christian church. We need to flood the presiding bishop's office with firm letters. (Before you write, read the CT weblog today and visit, as well, the website for the Episcopal Church's department of Women's Ministries)
