TO ARIZONA
Cheryl's 90-something father fell this past week and sprained his shoulder -- making it really difficult to take care of himself. He was planning to move in with us at the end of November but it looks like we need to move that time-table up to ASAP. Since my schedule is the most flexible this week I'm going to fly to Phoenix tomorrow night (after Maurey and Barbara Palmberg's 50th anniversary party -- congratulations!) and spend the night at my parent's place in Tempe. On Monday morning my mother will drive me to Green Valley, south of Tucson, where Cheryl's father lives. And we'll pack him up. On Tuesday I'll drive him and his car to Turlock (a bit over 12 hours). And I'll be back in the office on Wednesday morning -- in time to teach my D/C class Wednesday afternoon (so don't slack off on your homework) -- assuming all goes according to schedule.
