QUOTABLE
Bernd Strom, pastor of The Well, a Covenant church-plant in Corvallis, Oregon, (.pdf link) is quoted in his local paper.
"I don't know whether or not voters in Oregon or across the nation consider poverty, the environment, the war, drug abuse, etc. as moral issues, but I know that when I consider what it means to be a Christ-follower, these are issues that come alongside abortion, stem-cell research and same-sex marriage. Moral values are about life n the whole of life," he said.
"Wouldn't it be something if Christ-followers in leadership across the United States in churches, corporations and government listened again to the words of Christ, where Jesus invites followers to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, visit the lonely, sick and imprisoned?" he said.
