TOURISTS
We spent most of the day touring the Kennedy Space Center. Fascinating. Great weather, too. Dinner at El Leoncito, a Cuban restaurant in Titusville, was terrific. Then we went for our first ever tour of a Wal-Mart Supercenter. The store is located across the street from our motel and it is big. However, Cheryl thinks the grocery section is actually smaller than the Hypermart we would occasionally visit when we lived in Texas. (Hypermart USA was a joint venture of Wal-Mart and the Cullum Companies in the late 80's. They were modeled on a French super store and became the prototype for the Wal-Mart Supercenters. I don't know that there are any Hypermarts still around by that name. The term hypermart has now evolved into a generic designation for warehouse-type super stores. ...more than you ever cared to know about Hypermart.)
