Flamboyant, obnoxious, maverick, crude, antinomian, horse fancing, cigar-chomping television preacher Gene Scott has died of a stroke. What are bored seminary students going to watch for entertainment now that he's gone? I suspect that Stanford University, which issued a PhD to him in 1957, is secretly relieved that he is gone. He was truly a case.
