MONDAY'S COLLECTION
+ It amazes me as to how many people are bringing the Eastern rite Christians into the discussion of the papacy -- probably because commentators tend to see a model for married clergy in the East. I would be surprised if a new pope would make significant changes in this area. The Vatican just doesn't see the issue of celibacy as related to the shortage of priests.

+ No pope yet. Are we going to have news breaks every time a puff of black smoke is sent up the Vatican chimney?

+ The porn myth -- and how it affects real women -- an eye opener (not literally -- just a woman's perspective on social change): For most of human history, erotic images have been reflections of, or celebrations of, or substitutes for, real naked women. For the first time in human history, the images? power and allure have supplanted that of real naked women. Today, real naked women are just bad porn.

+ The wealthy Scandinavian myth. (Thanks, Rudy)

+ Rick has discovered another online collection of classic sheet music scanned into .pdf files.

+ I'm enjoying taking Spanglish lessons from Noel Castellanos. He's making a few other contributions, too (understatement).
