THURSDAY

+ An ivory-billed woodpecker, considered extinct for 60 years, has been discovered in Arkansas. I'm actually not surprised since birders across the south have occasionally reported seeing what they thought might be an ivory-billed and heard what they thought might be an ivory-billed -- but have never been able to get close enough to verify it -- until now. Very cool.

+ We had the last of the ministerial credentialing interviews today. We've got so many wonderful solid people serving in the Covenant -- and the numbers continue to grow. Great interviews! I am back in the Sacramento area tomorrow for the meeting of the ministerial association.

+ Saddleback Community Church, one of America's most influential megachurches, had their 25th anniversary celebration at Angel Stadium -- watch the recording. They had fun. Very SoCal. Includes the greatest CCM hits of the last 25 years. Rick Warren outlines his vision for the next 25 -- a peace plan -- includes a vision for the poor and the five most pressing problems in the world.

+ Speaking of Orange County, the submarines are coming back to Disneyland.
