> This fake U2 concert reminds me of a time when I was working with Young Life and we set up a fake rock star arrival at the San Jose Airport. Long before security was a real concern we put a couple of our people on the short hop of a Hughes Air West flight from Oakland to San Jose. We had several hundred high school kids (who were in on the whole thing) with signs waiting in the terminal.

It almost didn't happen because some inept airport security guards tried to usher the deboarding stars into one of their cars to whisk them to safety, but they broke loose and ran through the terminal -- with 300+ of our screaming high schoolers in chase. They got to the safety of a limo that we had borrowed from a mortuary. Everyone had a great time -- except airport security -- which to this day is still trying to figure out what we were trying to accomplish.
