CHERYL AND I walked over to the county fair this evening (we live a couple of blocks west) and spent about three hours (the longest we've ever spent at the fair!) walking around, watching the pigs race, checking out the livestock, and displays. We even caught a bit of the Avalon concert.We got a chuckle out of the oxymoronic sign at one of the beer booths. "F.A.C.T. Family Activities Club of Turlock Welcomes you to the Stanislaus County Fair." I suppose there might be some families who consider beer consumption a family activity.
