ET MAY BE A BELIEVER
Brother Guy Consolmagno, SJ, a papal astronomer, speculates that "sooner or later, the human race will discover that there are other intelligent creatures out there in the Universe" -- and that they have been subjects of Christ's saving grace. He has written a book called Intelligent Life in the Universe.

SWA TO DENVER
Southwest Airlines plans to start offering flights into Denver International Airport next year. This is great news since in my experience prices into Denver are way higher than other airports of comparable size. The competition from the premier low-cost (and some of us would argue all-around premier) airline should force other airlines to drop prices -- good news for the ordinary flier.

or, if you take up with the intelligent Intelligent (sic) Design people (eg Dembski, Behe, Hugh Ross, et al.), as i do, you say it's already a miracle that there is one life-supporting planet in the whole universe. could God have worked that miracle elsewheres? sure.but He may not have. we may be truly, wonderfully unique as a planet and humankind.

or, if God has created life on other planets, Consolmagno may be right.

or, like CS Lewis and Walker Percy speculate, life on other planets may not have fallen and might be living without the need for saving grace.

you have to figure out how all of this stuff works when you're as big a sci-fi fan as i am... ;-)
