OH, WELL...
We got all excited over nothing. Yes, Google did have a big announcement yesterday -- the Google Pack -- a collection of software that was all free anyway, bundled together for convenient download. I pretty much have everything in the pack already running on my computer -- except for the Norton Anti-virus, which I've had bad experiences with in the past so I won't have anything to do with it (I run avast -- which is free for personal use. Norton is only free for six months -- then you pay and pay and pay in so many ways). The news is not the software itself but the bundling.
