WINTER IN THE VALLEY
The ground fog has set in -- which means everything is damp and cold. Well, actually it only feels cold. It's hard to call 48 degrees cold when our friends in Alaska are living with temps in the 20's -- high of 26 today in Soldotna. Besides yesterday I picked and ate some tomatoes off the vine in the garden. They're still going -- not as sweet as August but still producing. And spring is right around the corner -- all the bare-root plants and trees are starting to show up in the stores.
