Eddie Gibbs has a great new book (2005) on developing leadership in the new world. LeadershipNext: Changing Leaders in a Changing Culture is specifically written with the under-35 set in mind. However, the principles are transgenerational and the book is going to be helpful for anyone wanting to understand the emerging shape of missional leadership in this post-Christendom, cross-cultural, information age.
I am planning to blog through LeadershipNext in early April. If anyone would like to join me now is the time to buy and read. It's very well written and not at all difficult reading -- just over 200 pages. But you might want to have time to let some of the ideas simmer before launching into a discussion.
