...Wal-Mart, which recently bailed on South Korea, is doing the same with its German operation -- at a loss of $1 billion. The competition was too established and Wal-Mart couldn't make the cultural shift. It appears that globalization won't or can't be as cookie cutter as some have tried to make it.
